Terms of Service

1. Who can use PeakMCList

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to use the site, and to make any purchase. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for anything that happens under your account.

2. Submitting a server

Anyone with an account can submit a Minecraft server for listing. By submitting a server, you confirm that:

• The server is free to join and play. You may accept voluntary donations, but requiring payment to join, play, or access core gameplay is not allowed.
• The information you provide (IP address, description, banner, screenshots, links) is accurate and belongs to you, or you have permission to list it.
• The server does not contain illegal content, malware, or anything that violates our Community Guidelines.

Listings may be reviewed by our moderators before or after they appear. We may remove any listing, review, vote, or account at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms or our Guidelines, without prior notice.

3. Voting and reviews

Votes and reviews are meant to reflect genuine player opinions. Manipulating votes (for example, using scripts, multiple accounts, or paying for votes) or posting fake reviews is prohibited and may result in the affected server being delisted and the associated account being suspended. The Minecraft username you vote with may be shown publicly on the server's page.

4. Reporting listings

You can report a listing that's offline, inaccurate, fake, or breaks our rules. Reports go to our moderators, who decide what action to take. Deliberately false, abusive, or spam reports are not allowed.

5. Paid features

We offer two paid features for server owners: Sponsored Slots and Premium. They are sold through Dodo Payments, our merchant of record: Dodo Payments is the seller on your receipt and handles payment, tax and invoices under its own terms, and we provide the Sponsored Slot or Premium itself. We never see or store your card details. You can see your invoices, update your card or cancel from "Manage billing" in My Servers.

• Labelled as paid. Sponsored and Premium servers are marked as such on the site, so players can tell paid placement and perks apart from organic rankings.
• Starts straight away. Both are digital services that begin as soon as your payment goes through. When you buy, you ask us to start the service immediately and acknowledge that, once it has started, you lose your right to cancel it for a refund.
• Refunds. Purchases are non-refundable, including for partly used periods, except where required by law. If something has gone wrong, contact us at contact@peakmclist.com and we'll do our best to put it right.
• Chargebacks. Please contact us before disputing a payment with your bank. If you dispute a payment without contacting us first, we may remove what was bought and suspend the account while the dispute is open.
• Removed listings. If a server is removed for breaking these Terms or our Guidelines, any Sponsored Slot or Premium on it ends without a refund.
• Prices. We may change our prices. A change to a subscription only applies from a renewal after we've told you about it, so you can cancel first if you prefer.

6. Sponsored Slots

Sponsored Slots are a small number of paid, numbered positions that place a server above the regular listings. Depending on the option you choose at checkout:

• One-time payment reserves the slot for 30 days. It does not renew; once the period ends, the slot becomes available to others.
• Subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel. Cancelling stops future renewals - you keep the slot until the end of the period you've paid for.

7. Premium

Premium is a set of perks for a single server, sold as 1, 3, or 6-month plans. The 1-month plan can be paid once or as a monthly subscription; the 3 and 6-month plans are subscriptions that renew every 3 or 6 months.

• Renewals. Subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown when you bought until you cancel. We'll email you about a week before a 3 or 6-month plan renews.
• Cancelling. You can cancel any time from My Servers. Cancelling stops future renewals - you keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Ranking perks. Premium's vote multiplier and monthly vote boost only affect a server's position in the rankings. They never change its public vote count, and a server still has to earn real votes.
• Custom settings. Premium lets you set a custom URL, button, tagline, and page styling. These must follow our Guidelines, must not impersonate PeakMCList or anyone else, and must not link to anything harmful. We may change or remove a setting that doesn't, without a refund.
• Changes to perks. We may improve or change Premium's perks over time. We won't take away a paid-for perk part-way through a period without offering a fair alternative or a pro-rata refund.

8. Scout programme

Scouts are people we've approved to bring new server owners to PeakMCList in return for commission. If you're a scout:

• You're a volunteer. Scouting doesn't make you our employee, contractor, or agent, and you can't make promises or agreements on our behalf.
• Who counts. Only brand-new accounts created through your referral link or code count as your referrals. Existing accounts can't be claimed, and you can't refer yourself or your own accounts.
• Commission. You earn a percentage of what a referred owner pays for Sponsored Slots and Premium: a higher rate on their first payment for each, and a lower rate on later payments. Your rates are shown on the Scouts page or agreed with you, and we may offer different or promotional rates. The rate that applies is the one in effect when each payment is made.
• How long. A referred owner's first purchase must be within 12 months of them signing up. You then earn on their payments for 12 months from that first purchase.
• Payouts. Commission is pending for 30 days, then becomes available. You can request a payout once at least $10 is available; we pay by PayPal. If a payment is refunded or charged back, the commission from it is reversed - including after it has become available, in which case it comes off your future earnings.
• Fair play. Don't spam, mass message, mislead people about how PeakMCList works (for example, promising rankings or results), or break other communities' rules. We may remove you from the programme for this, and withhold commission earned through it.
• Tax. You're responsible for any tax on what you earn.
• Changes. We may change or end the programme, or your rates, at any time. Changes apply to payments made after them - commission you've already earned under the rules at the time will still be paid.

9. Discord

You can sign in with Discord or link your Discord account to PeakMCList. When you do, Discord's own terms also apply to your use of Discord, and our Discord bot may give you roles and send you messages about your account and servers.

10. Accounts and termination

You may stop using PeakMCList and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms, our Guidelines, or applicable law.

11. No affiliation with Mojang or Microsoft

PeakMCList is an independent, fan-operated directory. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang Studios or Microsoft. "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB.

12. Third-party servers and links

PeakMCList is a directory - we don't operate, host, or control the Minecraft servers listed on the site, and we can't guarantee their uptime, safety, or content. Joining a listed server is at your own risk, and your interactions with it are governed by that server's own rules, not ours.

13. Free tools

Our free tools (such as the MOTD, text, and image generators) are provided as they are, for convenience. Check what they produce before using it on your server.

14. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

PeakMCList is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or any server listed on it. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use PeakMCList after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
