Community Guidelines

These guidelines exist to keep PeakMCList useful and trustworthy for players looking for a server to join. They apply to every server listing, review, vote, and account on the site, and work alongside our Terms of Service.

1. Free to play

Every server listed on PeakMCList must be free to join and play. You're welcome to accept voluntary donations or offer cosmetic perks, but requiring payment to join the server, access core gameplay, or remain competitive is not allowed.

2. Accurate listings

  • Use your server's real IP, version range, and gamemode(s) - don't list versions or gamemodes you don't actually support.
  • Don't misrepresent player counts or use anything designed to artificially inflate them.
  • Keep your listing up to date - remove or update it if the server shuts down or changes significantly.

3. Banner images

  • Must be an image you own or have permission to use.
  • No explicit, hateful, or misleading imagery (for example, fake "system alert" or ad-style banners).
  • JPEG, PNG, GIF, or WebP, up to 5MB.

4. Prohibited content and behavior

The following are not allowed anywhere on PeakMCList, including server names, descriptions, banners, and reviews:

  • Illegal content, or content promoting illegal activity.
  • Malware, IP grabbers, or anything designed to compromise a player's device or data.
  • Hate speech, harassment, or content targeting a person or group.
  • Sexually explicit content.
  • Impersonating another server, brand, or person.

5. Voting and reviews

Votes and reviews should reflect genuine experiences. Don't use alternate accounts, scripts, or paid services to manipulate votes, and don't post reviews for servers you haven't actually played on. Votes are limited to once per IP address per server every 8 hours.

6. Sponsored Slots

Servers placed in a paid Sponsored Slot are still expected to follow every rule above. A server that violates these guidelines can be delisted even if it holds an active Sponsored Slot, and any associated payment is forfeited as described in our Terms of Service.

7. Enforcement

We may remove a listing, review, or vote, or suspend an account, at our discretion if it violates these guidelines - with or without prior warning, depending on severity. If you think a listing or review breaks these rules, let us know at contact@peakmclist.com.
