Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you register, we collect your username, email address, and a password (stored securely, hashed, by our authentication provider - we never see or store your password in plain text).

Server listings. If you submit a server, we store the details you provide: server name, IP address, description, banner image, and any links (website, Discord, YouTube) you choose to add.

Votes and reviews. When you vote for or review a server, we store a hashed version of your IP address (used only to prevent duplicate voting) along with any Minecraft username and review text you submit.

Usage data. We track basic, privacy-focused analytics per server listing - things like impressions, clicks, and votes - so server owners can see how their listing is performing. This data is aggregated and is not used for cross-site tracking or advertising.

Payment information. If you purchase a Sponsored Slot, your payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details - we only keep a reference to your Stripe customer/subscription ID so we can manage your slot.

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account, and to let you sign in.
• To display the servers, votes, and reviews you've submitted.
• To prevent abuse, such as duplicate voting or spam submissions.
• To process Sponsored Slot payments and send related emails (for example, letting you know a slot you're waitlisted for has become available).
• To respond to support requests or legal notices you send us.

3. Third-party services we use

PeakMCList runs on a small number of third-party services, each of which processes some data on our behalf under their own privacy policies:

• Supabase - our database, authentication, and file storage provider.
• Stripe - processes Sponsored Slot payments. We never handle your card details directly.
• Cloudflare Turnstile - a privacy-friendly captcha we use on login, registration, and server submission to block automated bots.
• Resend - sends transactional emails, such as Sponsored Slot waitlist notifications.
• Vercel - hosts the website.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use browser storage (cookies and/or local storage) to keep you signed in between visits. We don't use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and listing data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within a reasonable time, except where we're required to keep records (for example, for tax purposes related to Sponsored Slot payments).

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. You can update most of your information yourself from your account settings, or contact us at contact@peakmclist.com for anything else, including account deletion requests.

7. Children

PeakMCList is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
